Matt Faessler and Josh Flook are also in the starting side, while Zane Nonggorr and Jock Campbell have been selected among the extended replacements. Lachie Anderson will captain the Reds, with Mosiah Christian named at halfback alongside Lynagh.
The four-team Super Rugby AUS competition provides additional matches for established players and emerging prospects ahead of the next Super Rugby Pacific season. Rugby Australia says the opener will be available through its listed broadcast platforms.
