The preliminary program for Beef2027 is available as Rockhampton prepares to host the week-long cattle-industry event from 2 to 8 May 2027, the Queensland Government said on 5 October.
Beef Australia, the event organiser, lists national stud and commercial cattle championships, industry seminars, international networking and more than 500 trade-fair exhibits among the planned activities. The program remains preliminary, so visitors and exhibitors should check the organiser's site for later changes.
Applications are open for Pitch in the Paddock, which invites start-ups, established ventures and researchers to present beef-industry innovations. Beef Australia says an information webinar for potential applicants is scheduled for 7 October. The state government also said expressions of interest for the event's international program are open.
Queensland says it is supporting the event through a $4.5 million partnership with Beef Australia. The announced program creates opportunities for producers and suppliers, but attendance and economic outcomes for 2027 cannot yet be known.
