At 6:00 pm UTC on 28 October (11:30 pm IST), the system was centred over north coastal Andhra Pradesh and adjoining parts of south Odisha, south Chhattisgarh and northeast Telangana. IMD said it was moving nearly northwards and expected it to weaken further into a depression during the morning of 29 October, then into a well-marked low-pressure area by that evening. Those later changes were forecasts at the time of the bulletin.
The bulletin still forecast widespread rain or thunderstorms, with isolated heavy falls, along the north Andhra coast. It also described seas along the Andhra coast as rough to very rough. Port warning signals had been lowered at several ports, including Kakinada and Visakhapatnam, but local cautionary signals remained in place.
Residents and travellers should check the latest official IMD and local authority updates because conditions can change after a bulletin is issued.
