There will be no vehicle or pedestrian access to the falls during the closure. The Theresa Creek Road entrance will be closed, with roadside signs warning approaching drivers. The council says work during this period will include changes to the upper and lower staircases and retaining walls near the forecourt.
The council plans to reopen the site for the Christmas and New Year break, but has not confirmed a reopening date. It says the Millaa Millaa township remains open, as do other waterfall circuit sites including Ellinjaa, Zillie and Mungalli Falls. Visitors should check the council’s project updates before travelling.
