India’s latest published closing benchmark for 999-purity gold was ₹1,40,054 per 10 grams on Friday, 30 October 2026, according to the India Bullion and Jewellers Association (IBJA). That was ₹2,201 below its 29 October closing figure of ₹1,42,255 per 10 grams.

IBJA’s 30 October closing rate for 916-purity gold was ₹1,28,289 per 10 grams, compared with ₹1,30,306 the previous day. These are benchmark bullion rates, not a guaranteed jewellery-shop price. IBJA says its listed rates exclude 3% GST and making charges.

No fresh IBJA rate is available for Sunday, 1 November. The association says it does not publish rates on Saturdays, Sundays or central government holidays. Readers seeing a “today” gold quote should check its timestamp, purity and whether taxes or shop charges are included.

The World Gold Council reported on 20 October that seasonal demand in India was gathering pace after September’s price decline. That earlier market assessment does not establish what prices will do next.
